Regional Foundation

Grantees are our partners and it is through our partnerships that our mutual goals in health care are realized. Grants allow the Foundation to fund programs at Spartanburg Regional Healthcare System (SRHS) and to address health needs of our community.
Spartanburg Regional Foundation offers grant assistance to programs that are clearly health-related and fall within the Spartanburg Regional service area. While the Foundation is primarily a hospital foundation, some funds are available to community organizations committed to a health-related endeavor.

Grant Guidelines

SRHS places a high priority on the following areas:

  • Access to Care
    • Primary care
    • Specialty care
    • Dental care
    • Behavioral health
  • Reduction in infant mortality
  • Reduction in health disparities
  • Reduction in chronic disease related to tobacco use
  • Obesity reduction (healthy eating/physical activity)

Funds are generally not available for endowments, operating expenses of existing programs and programs not clearly related to health improvement. The Foundation will not make grants to individuals nor will it make loans.

When awarding grants, the Spartanburg Regional Foundation does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, gender, age, national or ethnic origin or disability.

Once grant applications are submitted, the Foundation staff will review the material and present the application to the Foundation Grants and Allocations Committee for consideration. The committee will make recommendations to the Foundation Board based on the funds available and the alignment of the proposal with hospital and community goals.

If your program/project aligns with the foundation's mission and you would like more information about our grant process, contact Stacey Dulin, grant administrator at 864-560-6827 or email
